Our FailSafe modules work as either servers or backup units that mirror the server modules. This is the ultimate in redundancy as the units are mirrored, so if the server crashes, the mirrored module can take over all of the server’s functions in a short period of time (less than an hour, and as little as 15 minutes).
In addition to mirroring the servers, data can be stored off-site at a SAS70 facility that can restore your server data to a new module and ship it overnight to your office, and if absolutely necessary, can, within 8 hours, have a server set-up at the backup facility with your data accessible over the web.
The FailSafe modules can run thin clients, and you can use your old slow computers, the ones you were ready to put in the trash, as your thin clients. Then replace them with inexpensive terminals when the old computers finally quit.
The second option is used when your current server still has life left in it. Use a FailSafe module to mirror your existing server. The only thing not available from the first option is the ability to run thin clients. You still have the ultimate in backups and business continuity.
Oh, by the way, yes, you can configure versioning with the backups so you can get files that were deleted or got corrupted up to 60 days or more in the past.
